  4. I've got two in the teens right now, and one on the verge of the double digits. It's always nice to know I'm not the only one.

I'm glad to know you didn't read all those books this week! I'm already having a complex after reading Hag Reads Salon post. :-(

  5. Great post, John - yes, I can relate to much of this. I also see we have several books in common - the Fry, the Booker, the O'Farrell and a few others. Just going to look at a few of your reviews now...

  6. Hey J!
Thanks for stopping in at Planet Books. Sounds like a fun night at your house. Italian Beer? The hubby loves beer, not me. Any recommendations?
    Happy reading!!

  7. Sounds like you had a productive day! I always have such a hard time deciding what books to take with me when I go on vacation and I tend to overdo it as a result. I hope you enjoy your holiday!

  8. John,

Thanks for visiting. It sounds like a very nice Sunday. We're also off on vacation Wednesday and accordingly gathering hiking gear together. We're going to Switzerland.

I've started reading your reviews, and find them well written and interesting.

For instance, I loved Underworld, but I had not thought that it was the Americanness that could create the plot drive. I'll still need to think of that one a while longer.

    Have a good trip!
